Gunn was a commercial banker for 18 years. He ascended through the banking ranks to become the CEO of a community bank. Thereafter, he initiated a business and financial consulting practice. Along the way, he either founded or co-founded seven companies. Gunn managed and led three companies involved in the electronics industry, the broadcast communications business and the real estate development and construction businesses.
