November 1, 2016 –INDEPENDENCE, OH – The International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) and the International Franchise Professionals Group (IFPG), two of the industry’s largest organizations servicing individuals who facilitate business sale transactions, have aligned forces to bring their respective members additional value, including an IFPG + IBBA co-hosted Franchise Marketplace at the IBBA Spring Conference in May, 2017.“While the IBBA serves all intermediaries engaged in brokering businesses for sale, IFPG has a niche focus on providing brokers with the relationships, technology and tools to specifically facilitate the sale of franchise concepts,” commented Kylene Golubski, Executive Director for the IBBA. “Our collaboration with the IFPG will help our IBBA members understand and pursue franchise sales better, and ultimately increase their commission potential.”
Both franchise brokers and business brokers earn the majority of their income by placing clients into a business that aligns with their financial and lifestyle goals. Instead of focusing on just one or the other, the two organizations believe a broker’s income potential is maximized if he/she is equipped to facilitate both existing business and franchise sales. “This also allows the broker to truly provide business buyers with the best business opportunity that meets their needs and goals,” added Golubski.
With an emphasis on education, IBBA and IFPG will be providing their respective members with more information on how to take advantage of the resources and benefits offered by each organization. Additionally, the partners will host a special Franchise Marketplace exhibition event at the IBBA 2017 Spring Conference, whereby franchisors and franchise sales related service providers will connect directly with brokers from around the world.
“We are excited about this partnership with the IBBA and the opportunity to work with experienced IBBA brokers to help and support them in selling franchises. We were honored to be asked to partner with such a great organization,” said Don Daszkowski, an IFPG Founding Member.
