Shaping the Business Brokerage Profession for 40 Years
The International Business Brokers Association® (IBBA) is the largest international non-profit association operating exclusively for people and firms engaged in Business Brokerage. The IBBA provides Business Brokers with money-saving benefits, education, conferences, professional designations, and networking opportunities to build their skills, connections, and opportunities. Formed in 1984, the IBBA has members across the world.
With a primary focus on education, the IBBA awards the Certified Business Intermediary® (CBI) designation and the Master Certified Business Intermediary® (MCBI) designation to individuals who meet certain education and experience standards. These designations show a commitment to excellence in our profession, and clients are encouraged to look for a CBI® when choosing their Business Broker.
The IBBA is also vested in building the overall awareness of the Business Brokerage profession, as outlined in our Vision. Only a Business Broker has the requisite skills and knowledge to facilitate the most successful transference of business ownership amongst the parties involved, and this role is vital to the health of our economies and communities.
